Mr Ali is the senior partner at Waterstone Solicitors specialising in Immigration, Family Law and Islamic Wills. He completed his LLM from the University of Dhaka and qualified as an Advocate in Bangladesh in 2004 and was enrolled to practice at the Supreme Court of Bangladesh in 2008. Having worked as a legal advisor in Grameen Phone, Nokia and Motorola it provided him the experience in corporate-legal affairs in addition to contentious legal practice.
Mr Ali re-trained in London Law and was summoned to the Roll of Solicitors in 2012. In addition to his legal career, Mr Ali also holds the role of Head Imam and Khatib of Holborn HMCWA Mosque in Central London. Mr Ali is a member of the Bangladesh Law Association and has presented various television shows on NTV. Shah is involved in numerous charitable and community development activities which is evident through his role as Governor of Sir John Heron School.
